a7813e1ffe revert 39b24b5 (attempt to load normal image if there's no array (load sliderb if there's no sliderb0, sliderb1 etc)) and fix it by loading the skin image before checking if default skin has multiple images (animation) 2017-02-02 01:15:10 +01:00

8b7b7e0354 Fixed error handling issues in the game container. (#218)
This makes error catching generally more robust. Catch all exceptions in start() loop, catch close_sub() exceptions separately, and suppress linked errors (so the root exception should actually get captured).

Also fixed null pointers in methods called by close_sub().

643a7c4589 Added a dropdown menu class, similar to the one in osu!.
Using 'fa-chevron-down' and 'fa-chevron-right' icons from Font Awesome v4.4.0 (https://github.com/FortAwesome/Font-Awesome).

The dropdown menu is currently used only in the downloads menu to select servers.

5efb61d3bb Fixed bug where skinned old-style cursors were ignored. (part of #120)
Previously, enabling old-style cursors would try to load files "cursor2" and "cursortrail2". Now the actual files are loaded, and the -2 images are only used when no game skin image is provided.

Added a hasGameSkinImage() method in GameImage to check if the "default" image is skinned (by a game skin).

b83d6be5fd Clarified GameImage "skinnable" field as "beatmap-skinnable".
Renamed some methods and modified comments to avoid this confusion, as game skins were implemented much later than beatmap skins.

0a7aef7347 Moved all Utils.FONT_* into new class opsu.ui.Fonts.*.
- Moved Utils.loadGlyphs() into this class, and rewrote it to take a single generic string (instead of beatmap title/artist strings, specifically).
- Also moved font initialization into this class.

This occurred when inserting beatmaps with null "bg" field into the database.

Also moved LOAD_HD_IMAGES option from "Custom" tab to "Display".

40e4495030 Initial skin loader implementation.
- Skins are now loaded from subdirectories of the root "Skins" directory, and can be changed in-game (but requires a restart).
- Changed the default skin directory to the osu! directory, if available.

This implements a full parser for skin.ini (excluding CTB/Mania elements) based on the current wiki information.  None of the settings have been implemented yet.

2efb18e225 Follow-up to #68.
Fixes:
- Set the modified speed again after unpausing and loading from checkpoints.
- Changed countdown delays based on current speed.
- Changed color of highlighted song info text to that in osu!.
- Made playback images unskinnable.

Code changes:
- Changed playback field in Game class to the PlaybackSpeed object instead of just the button.
- Changed PlaybackSpeed.next() to a non-static method.
- Added/edited Javadocs.
- Changed image names.

078b765143 Added an automatic updater for new releases.
opsu! will now check for updates upon launching, and will prompt the user to download and run a newer version, if available.
- The remote version file is just the filled "version" file, currently located in the gh-pages branch.
- The new version is downloaded to the working directory, and launched with ProcessBuilder.

Related changes:
- Added "file" property (containing the download URL) to "version" file.
- Added maven-artifact dependency for version comparisons.
- Added methods in Downloads class to retrieve the constructor parameters.
- Moved method for showing exit confirmation dialogs into UI.
- Moved method for reading from URLs into Utils.

00b98e07d6 Image loader fixes.
Image locations are now searched separately and in order, instead of just relying on ResourceLoader.  Fixes issues with some images in the skins directory not being loaded at all, as well as image arrays being loaded from mixed locations.

1a4120a736 Follow-ups to #21.
- Reverted "Extends ScoresData bg to clock", as this was intended behavior.
- Fixed overlapping text in the options menu, and made it look more similar to the other menus.
- Fixed issues with the text and icon in the song menu header in certain resolutions.
- Fixed minor issue with ranking screen header text positioning.
- Decreased skip button hover scale.
- Some code style changes.

69f5aa5748 Added a separate Game Mods menu.
- Replaces the mods being shown in the options menu.
- Added all the (base) mod icons to the menu, with the unimplemented ones grayed out.
- Added a rotation effect to MenuButton, and now multiple effects can be set at once.
